As Yogi Adityanath took the charge as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, within 3 days of his tenure he has done many big things that we thought. He surprised to everyone of us by making big announcements for the betterment of the state. So, here are the things which he did right after becoming the CM of Uttar Pradesh.
1) Seal illegal slaughter houses
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had strictly made an announcement that only slaughterhouses without licences will be shut down.
The Chief Minister has also ordered a blanket ban on cattle smuggling and said there must be “zero tolerance” in such cases.
Slaughterhouses allegedly running without permits have been shut down in Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra and Ghaziabad over the past two days. There have been reports of inspections across the state.
2) Crackdown on VIP culture
After Yogi Adityanath has became the CM of UP, he made an announcement that no minister in the state will be allowed to use the red beacons atop vehicles.
3) Monitoring social media activities
Yogi Adityanath has asked his fellow police officers and senior administrative to keep their eyes on every social media post that poses a threat to communal harmony and peace.
4) Anti-Romeo Squad
He set up an ‘Anti-Romeo Squad’ to check eve-teasing, stalking, harassment of women and moreover, to bring the controversial ‘love jihad’ under control.
The state’s director-general of police Javeed Ahmed said, “The idea is to reclaim public spaces and make them safe for women.” This new squad is more an organised action plan to curb the menace of eve-teasing and harassment of women.
5) Action plan to end all crimes
Adityanath asked the police chief to order the police force to be on the alert and also chalk out an action plan for better policing in a bid to rein in crime within a fortnight.
Deputy CM KP Maurya said the ruling government would take the decision to close down all abattoirs, its poll promise, in the first state cabinet meeting.
6) Disclosure of Assets
The CM asked all his ministers to disclose their income and submit details of their assets to the CM secretariat and the BJP office within 15 days.
7) No pan masala when on duty
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed Uttar Pradesh government officials to stop chewing pan, pan masala, etc. when in office, after seeing stained walls during his first visit to the secretariat annexe building in Lucknow.
