Hum Paanch was the most loved family entertainer of its time, and the TV serial is coming back for a season 3. The first two seasons of Hum Paanch made us fall in love with the entire dysfunctional family and also gave us Vidya Balan. Season three of this popular show will be titled Hum Paanch Phir Se and will be produced by makers of ‘Maharakshak Devi’ and dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’.
The 90’S TV series is all set to make a comeback according to a Times of India report. However, the show will no longer be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Hum Paanch Phir Se will launch various new faces, and the show will give a modern twist to the classic comedy. According to a source, the core details of the original TV show will be maintained.
“We will retain all the intrinsic elements and the format but will give it a modern spin. The production house is in the process of finalising the cast, which will comprise new faces,” the source was quoted by TOI. The first two season of Hum Paanch had five sisters with unique personalities trying to get along with their family and the daily drama that follows. One of the most essential elements that made Hum Paanch lovable was the innocence and simplicity of the jokes and the characterisations which helped people to relate.
The first two seasons of Hum Paanch starred Ashok Saraf, Vidya Balan, Rakhee Tandon, Bhairavi Raichura, Vandana Pathak and the first season was aired back in 1995 and continued till 1999. The second season of Hum Paanch was aired from 2005 to mid-2006, and the TV show gave instant stardom to all its lead actors. The show and its jokes are still relatable to every 90’s kid, and the news of the comeback has only increased the excitement for the fans!
